What engine does it have OHV or SOHC engine?

The SOHC engine dont like heat at all good chance it cooked

the old school OHV motors will take a beating and maybe alright.

But insurance should take care of it.

On another note THEY would have seen the hose if they done a proper inspection of the truck before they sold the truck. Hose get soft and swell before they pop unless something hits it like a fan belt.

yes most assuredly talk to the head cheese and have your receipts where they have been doing his servicing etc.
might not pick up the whole bill, but who knows

many moons ago i had a boat block split in half

i searched everywhere for a new block gm 5.7 it seems the particular years serial numbers where defective for cars.....but somehow they made it into boats that turned 5k rpm......go figure

so i was going to pay for a new engine

my boat guy called my insurance company and they paid the whole thing.....seems they thought it froze and split....my boat guy had done the winterizing and had proof of great upkeep
cost me 200 to have a 6k engine replaced, which left room for many hp upgrades and power jumps:D

so you just never know

WOW Robert, you got lucky on that one. He has also checked with his insurance company and they won't pay either. I'm going to ask him to get all the records before we go to a higher person.
