factory wheels with clear coat

I have some scuffs on my factory 20" rims. They appear to be clear coated.

Can you polish these with aluminum polish?

I would say to use the same wax you would use on clear coat paint. Polish may scuff the wheels even more. Just my thoughts. I always waxed my clear coated wheels.

NO POLISH!!!!! if they are clear coated it will just make a mess of it. wax will make them perfect and clean

something ive noticed on one of my rims is that it looks like the top coat is chipping away. what is this? what can i do to stop it/slow it down?
