Factory warranty ?'s

As I've stated in earlier posts I'm looking for my first SD but with the money I'm going to have it looks like I'll have to go with something around a 06 to 07 model truck. After reading different threads on here and talking to others the 6.0 really concerns me. I don't want to end up with someones headache. So my question is what was the factory warranty for these trucks. Also do any of you guys have any experience with these extended warranties that are offered by these aftermarket companies.

I just purchased an 07, and had it serviced yesterday. Ford told me I had until July 2011 or 100k miles left on the engine/power train warranty. So yes the factory warranty still applies. I almost purchased the extended warranty, but for 2500 bucks and I still have 20k left on the factory, I decided to pass. Have the selling dealership provide you with the Oasis report. I think they can do that, my Ford dealer pulled it for my truck and the wifes mustang. At then you will know what you are buying.

Just get an oasis report before u buy. 06 and 07 6.0's had the lowest warrenty claims of all Ford vehicles. 1 bad story gets more press than 5 good ones.

keep in mind the 5 100k is only engine. emission , not drive train or anything else ,, I bought an 06 with 22k a year ago ,, my warranty is up in Dec I bought an aftermarket extended because Ford would tell me the drive train wouldn't be covered do to lift and tires ,, my aftermarket warranty has an inclusion for these
