I would blame 4 wheel Parts, not Fabtech. Sounds like the salesman you had must not have known what he was doing. Or possibly they just sent you whatever they had laying in the warehouse. Either way, your problem is with the guy who sold it not the manufacturer.

8 Inch lift and U-bolts are not long enough. 18"s is as long as they say they make.

18" is a long u-bolt. Are they recommending blocks that need over a 18" u-bolt? For a 8" lift new springs are in order. Lifting that much with blocks is going to create some serious axle wrap.

Most 8 inch lifts come with 5 inch springs and 3 inches of blocks. You go with 8 inches of spring on these kits and you cant haul very much weight in the beds.

First off, if you requested brake lines and other things, that is NOT Fabtechs fault, it's the guy you ordered it through's fault.

Second, if you order a Standard 8" Fabtech lift with blocks in the rear and not replacement springs, you get 8" lift in the front and 6" in the back to level out the truck, unless it is springs, because the blocks would be too big.

Third, I have the 8" Fabtech Radius Arm lift, It does NOT have or need 18" U bolts, and yes, I have the blocks with factory springs.

Also you can't compare shocks, by the shock body length alone, you have to measure there overall travel, and extended lenghts, however it is possible to have gotten the wrong shocks, which could be Fabtechs fault or Mr Salesman's fault, depending on how he placed the order.

My 8" BDS all spring lift was flawless. I got 8" out of the front and almost 10" out of the back. The truck sat perfect. Ride was pretty stiff, but once I got 1-2000 lbs in the back she smoothes way out. I noticed no squat problems at all with all spring in the rear. I've had it loaded real heavy with topsoil and mulch and bricks, and it never even flinched. I was always surprised at that. I drove from WNY to WV with a 1200 lb camper in the bed, with about 1k in stuff in the camper, and it didn't even flinch.
My 00 F350 has a 6" skyjacker lift, with block in the rear and not only does it look horrible, I don't trust it at all. Going all spring very soon.
