yeah tony, I'm thinking that's what happened. I band-aid fixed it by zappin a weld bead on it. It actually turned out more like a bunch of tack welds (I'm a lil outta practice) but it should do the

either way, I'm looking into replacing my tie rods/center link. About $400 for all the parts. I need a front-end realignment anyway, after my current center link came apart on me. Figgered i might as well do the job right if I'm payin to have it aligned.

the track bar locates the axle centrally under the vehicle. it allows for verical movement but not lateral. if that weld broke going up or down that curb.. the axle could have shifted laterally and therefore casue the separation of the tie rod end from the center link.

his truck isn't a coil front end it's leaf springs ,, allot of leaf sprung trucks don't even run a track bar ,, but none the less the center link would never receive more pull than normal if the hanger broke or was missing
