Hi,

New to forum. Picking up my 2009 F350 next week. It does not have Navigation. Does anyone have experience with the Factory nav unit?
What about aftermarket like the Pioneer AVIC-Z1100?

Thanks.

Can you get the 6.5" or 8" screen in the dash of the F350?
Which screen do you have?
I have seen some screen shots of the 8" screen in the new F150.
Does the factory system integrate with climate controls?
What about vehicle systems such as drivetrain modes?
How does the Ford Sync system work as far as voice commands and Bluetooth.
Would people recommend staying with the OEM system or going for aftermarket?
My dealer wants to charge me $2,500 for the Ford Nav.
I can get a Pioneer nav for $2,000.
Money is not the primary issue picking one over the other.

Navigation unit

I got the pioneer avic f900bt in my 2001 f350. Except for the slow start up's it's great, navigation, dvd, mp3, cd, you name it. Plus the msn direct give real time traffic, weather and gas prices too. Costs me $100 for eight years active service, got the head unit of craigslist for $450 in great shape. I personally would go aftermarket but that's my opinion right?
