Glad to be here ,I have a few questions and I hope a few answers for you guys too...

Posted a question about the OD light flashing on my 00 SD,one guy said his speedo went out as well,but,both sed to try the ABS sensor at the rear end.....going to try that today,I hope.My speedo still works when it flashes tho,I used to just restart the trk and it would clear,but,now it comes on about 20 seconds after start up.....

Welcome aboard TSD73,are you refrerring to the "VSS" (Vehicle Speed Sensor) on top of the rear axle diff housing? The harness plug can come loose,sensor collects metal shavings producing inaccurate readings or they just go south.

Most of the online parts houses have the VSS for around 15 bucks.

Welcome. Yes the VSS is a very common part to fail. I have replaced a few in the work trucks.
