ive got a 2006 F250 KR im slowly building this truck to my dream driving machine. i talked with the guy who i have gotten tires from for years and inquired about putting bigger tires on my truck and he was unsure as to what tire i could go to without it rubbing. i know this much i have 275/65/18 on there now and they look very small. i am wanting the BFG A/T is 305/65/18 as big as i can go??? just looking for a little insight thanks in advance.

305/70R16 fit with room to spare under an 03 so I would imagine the 305/65R18 should fit. Only thing I think that might be an issue is rubbing on the trailing arm at full lock but the steering stop can be adjusted to fix that.

I have BFG 305/6518s on my 2008 KR F250 and they fit with no rubbing, but I would be uncomfortable going any bigger without a mild lift or some fender trimming. In any event, you will have trouble finding a much taller tire that will fit on the stock rim (since the tires also step up in width as you go taller in diameter). I do not know about your 2006, but my truck came with an 8" wide rim. I would not feel comfortable putting anything wider than a 315metric or 12.50 U.S. on an 8-inch wide rim. Its probably best to stay with the 305 (especially so depending on the backspacing on your rim). I have not seen a 305 width tire that was taller than the 65R18 (which is about 33.7" tall).
