I believe they would 6.0psd777, my problem is I just put $2700.00 into mine this week, now I'm broke :(

The romps are fairly normal when she's cold, but a synthetic 5W-40 will do wonders for the startup. If it still romps badly at that temp (that's not that cold) after the oil change, you might want to have the glow plugs checked. The shift strategy when cold is to skip 2nd to make the engine warm up faster, so that is why it seems hesitant to shift when cold, when warmed up it skips 4th I believe for fuel economy.

cold start problem

i had a problem similar to yours and i sent it to the local dealership and they told me that my cold start was not working so they reflashed my ecu and ever since then its been good.

they said when it started up the truck, the engine was sensing it was already at operating temp. no matter how long the engine had been off.
