extra power?

Alright im about to pick up a 2000 7.3L and wanting some extra power for a little better gas mileage (trucks lifted)

It already has a Edge CTS, rebuilt turbo pedestal, EPR valve kit, Airaid Cold air intake, 5" exhaust.

what should i add on next?

x2...those programmers do have more smoke with them. But I would sell it to get something better

agreed to all of the above....however, before you go adding any more power..

GET SOME GAUGES. I didnt see any listed anywhere...these are paramount when adding power because you need to see what is going on when you start tweaking things.

They are.. an absolute Must.. even Stock.. let alone doing Mods.

Not sure about that edge model, but if it does, and he gets rid of the edge, then he will need another set of gauges.

i would do NOTHING more than buy the truck for now. its an unknown animal at this time. consider that all that stuff i on it and will be paid for.

1. 5" exhaust pushes the power band up.

2. like JLD sez, the Edge probably pushed the power ban up even more.

3. EPR valve kit? maybe you mean an EBPV delete? ok, no biggy, but where do you live?

live with the truck for a while and see what a cranky kurmodgeony beast it is before you mess with it. you never know what maintenance item will need to be done RIGHT after you plunk down your cash for some mod.

thats a really good point...get to know it first before you start messing with it.
