Yes, Very true, But don't forget the enclosure prices.

A good enclosure like vantec nexstar 3 will run ~$40 each

A dual Enclosure would be good though, I know Vantec is about to release a nice one called the nexstar MX. ;)

You guys "bush & big K" are talking way over this dummies head. I'm a wood and power tool guy! :tongue2 Thanks for the input, I ordered the original one posted. I like to save $ but I hate buying things twice even more. Eventually I would want what this thing does. I spent more but it's almost plug and play, my wife can access from work and whenever I switch to laptop, so can I. I currently use a daily remote backup service for business data and I should be able to drop after it's installed. I'll still do weekly cd back up and send them to work with the wife. I would essentially have 3 copies of my computer and unless the house burns down.

So I found it for $680, the 2 TB version, picked up a wireless router ($100) for it and future expansion. Wahtever $ I could have saved in the short term will be made up over the next few years in savings on remote back-up fees. (100 yr for 10Gig)
