Hi y’all. I have a 2015 F-350 srw crew cab (pictured below) that I drive for hotshot. I sleep in it as well. So I run at idle for extended periods of time. I have looked at quite a few of different forums and I cannot seem to find a straight answer for exactly what my pickup has recently been doing. I have a full DPF and EGR delete done with sct x4 tuner with no issues what so ever and I change the tunes often between towing and regular driving. My pickup was not recently deleted either, so I don’t think that would contribute to the problem unless I just didn’t notice it for a year. Recently (the last couple of days) after 5+ hours of idle time (granted there could have been 8 - 9 hours of hard driving done before that) my pickup will start to emit small amounts of white smoke, constantly out of the tailpipe. My first thought was low coolant, but my coolant levels are fine. The engine and oil temps do not show any sign of even coming close to running hot and I have no way currently to check my exhaust temp, but from what I can gather even non-deleted 2nd gen F-series diesels have had no problem with extended idling. They just emit smoke when you drive them till it can burn off or regen if it needs to. Mine however doesn’t do this either. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!
