Is there anyone in the San Diego Area that has worked on / repaired their 6.0L engine?? I am looking to fix (not at a dealership) my EGR cooler with a new up-graded.

I am pretty mechanically inclined and have most of the tools required to conduct the repairs but someone that has experienced the repairs makes it much easier.

P/M me.

I exit imperial of the 805 go east to euclid make a right and go about 1/4 mile to the next light he will be on the left corner(u have to make a u turn). What is your egr doing?

Thanks for the info. I have replaced the EGR myself. The reason I replaced it was I was having idle problems and figured that since so many people are having EGRs sticking I would just change it out. I also had to replace the ICP and that was not really that fun. I read as much as I could to see how to replace it and I have to tell you, it was not all that hard after I really figured it out. I removed the air intake, hot bottle, and the heat shield. Come to find out that I really did not need to remove the upper stuff at all. It can be done by removing the heat shield and cutting the wrench in half (really only 4.5 inches long) and replacing it. I guess that FORD figured it to be a problem because they move it in the next years models..

I usually try to conduct repairs myself and was really asking for some that has done it themself to assist me. But I will keep the information for those times that I can't do it myself.... Thanks again.
