I heard that she was test driving the vehicle because it had temporary tags on it. Plus the baby wasn't even in a car seat. She had the baby lying on the passenger seat. What an idiot!!!! I say throw the book at her!!!! If you let "punishment fit the crime" maybe someone should take her on a second or third floor, then throw her sorry ***** through a window.

Sorry for the harsh rant, jmho!!!!

And....

....the story just gets weirder:

"Deputies found nearly $10,000 in cash, checks and jewelry in the wreckage of the sports utility vehicle that rolled near Alvarado on Friday, ending a 25-mile police chase and killing a 9-month-old girl, officials said Tuesday.

An arrest warrant for theft charges was obtained Tuesday afternoon filed against Aimee Andrea Riza, driver of the SUV. The warrant was obtained by police in Brownwood, said Sgt. Troy Carroll of the Brownwood Police Department.

Meanwhile, Riza, 36, remained in the Johnson County Jail Tuesday where she also faced charges of vehicular manslaughter, reckless driving and resisting arrest. Her bail was set at $250,000.

Her daughter, Alexxus Andrea Riza, died Friday evening at Cook Children’s Medical Center after being taken by helicopter from the scene of a wreck near Interstate 35W and U.S. 67, police said.

Johnson County Sheriff Bob Alford said on Tuesday that deputies obtained a search warrant for the wrecked 2007 Chrysler Aspen and subsequently found the money and jewelry that Alford said was purchased by Riza before the chase on Friday.

He said that police in Brownwood learned that $41,000 in deposits were reported missing from a Goody’s Department Store where Riza worked.

Carroll said a warrant for charges of theft between $20,000 and $100,000 likely will be filed against Riza. He added that officers were also searching her home in Brownwood Tuesday afternoon.

The wreck followed a 25-mile, two-county chase that ended when Riza lost control of the SUV and hit a light pole. The vehicle then rolled multiple times, police said. Cleburne police and Johnson County deputies had spiked all four of the SUV’s tires prior to the rollover.
