I'm wanting to put an exhaust system on my truck but what all does that entail? I want it louder so does that mean a system without a muffler? Are there any other mods I'd have to do?

Where do you live? I am asking because many states require smog inspections every year or two. If you live in such a state (like California) you must keep the catalytic converter. This will help quite the exhaust if you still have it. Many run with no muffler. That is too loud for me, but you may like it.

I live in Utah. They don't require emissions inspection in the county I live in. Only safety

Then you are pretty much free to do what ever you want. Just keep ALL of the parts that you remove incase Utah decides to check smog.
