i stopped in at the dealership to give an update to them on the performance of the truck since she was pretty much rebuilt. no more issues of blown coolant, since he took some out. blue smoke at start up reduced by 70%, i now get black smoke shootin out the pipe when i step on it...
. never had that before. the new updated turbo seems louder, a little whine never hurt anybody. 
if i am going 55 -70 and i step on it, boy does she kick in and my closing rate on the car in front of me comes up pretty fast, have to hit the brake sometimes. i would say it is even better than when i got it brand new.
fuel mileage is status quo.
now for the good part. before i could ask if i could (like i was getting permission) talking to the tech who did the work and the s.m. THEY said i could probably put on an exhaust and egt sensor 
, w/ the underlying tone that it could but probably not be an issue as far as the warranty. tech did say that '03's w/ an exhaust can screw up the performance of the engine but it is a hit/miss situation. he just wanted to inform me. and to not chip it or put on an aftermarket filter. the factory is just fine.. the chip would obviously put the ki-bosh on the warranty.
