Always a full pull
My '05 F-450 has a BD Exhaust Brake http://www.bd-power.com/ford/product.php?pn=Exhaust Brakes&tt=ford installed in Oct '05 and I was warned to remove it last July after the tech people already told me the the 6.0 has excellent compression hold back after 3000 rpm (B.S.!!) and if I didn't remove it the coupler between the EGR and CAC would blow off and do about a grand worth of damage in parts and labour. Is this just BS? BD claims that their set up closes the EGR and will not do any harm, I really need to keep this brake on as I'm not willing to risk killing my engine by allowing it to over rev that high when going down a 14% grade fully loaded (8 tons fully loaded trailer and the truck weighs 4 tons also) or do a premature brake job. Please help me.
