exhaust brake

I have a 2016 6.7. the exhaust brake seems almost non existant.My dealer says there is nothing they can do that's just the way it is set.Does anyone know if they can get more aggresive through the computer?

How are you using it? I've found it best to have the engine around 2500rpm when I use it. I usually put the trans in manual and lock it at a lower gear. I can stay at 65 while towing my car down a 6% grade without touching the brakes. Sometimes I have to turn it off because it keeps slowing me down.

I use it towing my 5th wheel.My Dodge would slow you down immediatly.It also had the cackling sound.
The Ford has no noticeable sound or feel.Ihave disc brakes on the 5th wheel,so I have plenty of stopping power.I am just dissapointed in the Ford brake.

Maybe try downshifting manually when you use it. I've found if the RPM is too low it doesn't work as well.

Did your Dodge have the DPF? That thing muffles a lot of noise.

Does truck have tuner installed now?
All tuner and tunes I know of only have exhaust brake on stock or tow tune. I have a del;6;3: 2016 with tyrant tunes and only get exhaust brake on Tow Tune.

If you don't have much of a load, you will not notice it. I used it up in the mountains with a 36' gooseneck trailer and it never ran away from me. It just doesn't sound like a big rig.

I use it even as an unloaded daily driver. I absolutely feel a difference in stopping.
