My eot runs about 10 degrees over mt ect. Should I be concerned with this amount of difference? I have an Edge insight to keep track of temps. The truck is completly stock except for a coolant filter. It is a 2006 4x4 dually.

That sounds about right. Oil is used to cool the pistons by shooting a spray stream of oil directly on the bottom of the piston. This will be hotter than the coolant. So I say you are doing good.

Dave said it right. If you start seeing 20 deg. or more difference, then you may be having oil cooler issue.

Thanks guy's I was afraid my oil temp was maybe running to high. I put the Insight in this winter so never drove it when the weather was warmer . The truck has 51,000 miles on it.
