Help? Would my HPOP be on its way out if car Vibrates badly (all the time) when going up a hill or (Sometimes) when excelerating, to the extent that it will not go up said hill and stops or i turn off whilst still rolling, start it back up, give it a good rev it splutters back to life and of it goes until the next hill or it has just had enough and then i repeat above.
Always change fuel filters, oil etc, HPOP changed about 60,000 ago! or could it be injectors? Shuddering from motor is bad have now parked it until solution found.

Thank You
Mark

Kinda confused here.. In 03 (ish) Ford switched to the 6.0 here in the States, yours being an 05.. and it has a 7.3 ?? Maybe an Aussie thing but could you clarify ??

In any event.. @ 240Kms your issues could be many.. BEST thing to do first would be: Get it Scanned for any DTC's.

Yes we seem to get what everyone has finished with here down under, but anyway it is a 7.3L cummins super duty it would probably be what was left of the stock ford could not sell in the states, they are no longer sold here new, you now have to import them, the 2005 model was the last time that ford sold F trucks (if you can get hold of them at a good price and ship into australia there would be a market for them at the right price)

I will get it scanned over the next couple of days and see what happens from there! Ill keep in touch.

If it has a cummins in it. It would be a south American built truck. Most likely from the brazil plant.

Don't want to compete or disagree with your shop mates but if it IS injectors.. you should have seen some fuel system related codes. :dunno

Still not sure what engine you have but if it's a Ford/IH PSD... 5w40 oil is best for optimum HPOP and injector performance ?

You might run a good dose of injector cleaner thru it.. or just bite the bullet (@240KM's) and R&R the injectors.
