I asked this question on the 6.0 spot but only got one response so I thought I would try here. Got my new truck, Well new to me it is a 2003 i'm pulling my camper and the engine is making a surging/fluttering sound. I'm sure this was discussed somewhere on here, but I can't find any info.. can someone please help me figure out what is going on..any info as to what this could be would be great...
the previous owner had 2 injectors replaced, it has 98,500 miles on it, and we're currently on a 1,000 mile trip. Really need to figure this out while still under warrenty. The surging seems to happen when the rpms are around 2k, I am pulling a 36 foot camper that weighs around 14k. It does not seem to matter weather or not the tow haul button is on or not it does the same thing. The problem seems to come and go.
The first fill up I got 10 mpg and the 2nd I got 8 mpg is this normal?????????? I would have thought to get better then that..
