While driving in hot weather (Palm Springs area) and while climbing up an upgrade of a hill my engine seem to sputter, little puffs of black smoke from the tail pipe, and a slight loss of power. It only does this in very hot areas (100 df +) and once I get over the hill or in cooler climate it stops.
I have replaced the EGR, EGR cooler, Oil cooler, Hpop, head Gaskets, T-stat, and two bad injectors (after the hpop) in the past two years and now this comes up. I checked the computer for any codes but none indicate. The radiator fan sometimes cycles on and stays on, yet other times it cycles on and off.
Suggestions???
