Question Engine oil temp

is it a pretty easy fix or no

easy and very very messy...here is a good write up..leave the oil drain plug out so if any coolant gets in it will drain right out of the pan...

yes i have...my arms where coverd in coolant when i pulled it down off the block

how can we tell if this cooler is clogged if we don't have a oil temp gauge????

This thread got me interested in getting an oil temp gauge. But where do you get one...is it a common gauge to get at a parts store, cuz I've checked most popular diesel sites and I couldnt find an oil temp guage. And where would be the best place to install it?
