I bought my 99 PSD a couple weeks ago and so far its died on me 4 times. 3 times while I'm stopped at a light and once doing about 30. It starts back up and runs fine afterwards. What's the deal???
Help!

So many things...

I'm not too familiar with the 7.3, but when's the last time you've changed fuel filters? Spark plugs and wires? (Ok, I'm kidding about the spark plugs and wires).

Could be the common CPS problem.

read the very first thread in this forum ( first word is "sticky"). It sounds like your cpm.

Sounds like the CPS to me. Mine was doing this as well. Once I replaced it, it has run fine.

Yes, the answer most likely is the CPS, basically the cam position sensor. My 2001 7.3 was doing the same thing, changed it out and all is well. I got mine for under $20 from Ford, so I bought two to be safe. It took 10 minutes to replace. The first forum as the others have said has all the answers. I think the engine actually runs better in general since the change.
