What is in these drinks? Red Bull, Full Throttle, Rockstar and so on... I drink Red Bull and Full Throttle from time to time but have never got much "energy" out of any of them. All they seem to do is taste good but heck anything full of sugar usually tastes good. Are these drinks deadly or bad for ones health in general? Red bull and there "wings", rockstar's "party's" and full throttle "letting your man out" all sound good but will they kill me? I suppose on an average I am drinking six to eight "energy" drinks a week. Other than these drinks all I drink is water with the occasional diet soda thrown in and I just added the energy drinks to my diet a short time ago.

look at the content of Vitamin B (12) & (1) & caffeine....basically too
much of a good thing can be bad (no matter what it is)...My wife is a career
nurse (20yrs) and is telling me its HARDEST on your Kidneys...

basically as i understand it your kidneys wind up working
overtime to process (filter) the OVERDOSE stuff outta your system.

one "side effect" is elevated heart rate...which can be bad, very bad
if youve got some kinda heart condition or the like...

google produces LOTS of results "energy drinks bad" & "energy drinks effects"
will give you plenty of info for consideration ;)

And, some folks have started making alcoholic drinks out of them. (Red Bull and vodka) Wonder what happens to the body when you introduce something that increases your heart rate (energy drink) and something that is a depressent (alcohol)??:dunno

MMMM....Bull Blaster! Red Bull and Yeigermeister.:sly Glass of Bull and drop the shot glass of Yeiger in and slam.

The mixed drinks have been around for a few years. Some places will not even carry energy drink mixed drinks because of adverse affects. One bartender in Austin told me that the alcohol is absorbed into the blood quicker. They stopped selling them becuase they had people fine one minute and slurring, stumbling drunk the next.:dunno

Also rumor has it that torene in Red Bull is derived from bull testosterone.:dunno

Crumm, the worst thing in this drinks is the sugar. Imagine that most of these drinks have anywhere from 18 to 25 teaspoons of sugar. Sugar is very hard on your digestive system.

I like them, but I drink the sugar free versions. They work and are not as hard on your system. My favorites are Monster ( the blue label ) and Red Bull Sugar Free and the Full Throttle Sugar Free is that bad either. If you really need something to really get you going their is one called Redline, one can get it at the health food store. IT WORKS !!! but to start with only drink about 1/2 the can.

This is about what I thought. I just started drinking a few of them a short time ago and I guess I better quit. As far as energy they don't do a thing so what is the use?
