Electric or mechanical gauges

All right I have an 03 6.0 and i will be adding water temp,oil temp, and oil press. gauges. Do i need electric or mechanical?I already have boost,pyro,diff and trans temp gauges.

mech. guages will fill your cab with oil if they/lines to them spring a leak, and it will probably happen when you're dressed for sunday service.

Electric gauges

Thanks for the feedback,I will look into it.I will go with ultra-lite because thats what i alredy have.Now can someone tell me where to run the water temp. or what mods do i have to do to hook water,oil temp and oil press.:thanks

Water temp will go in the side of the block. There is a drain plug below the aft most freeze-out plug below the manifold on both sides. Use the drivers side since it's super easy to get to. Look here. You'll need at M16x1.5 (male) to 1/8"NPT(female) Metric Adapter. Both Isspro and Autometer make this adapter.

As for oil temp and press, the factory sensors for these are located beside (right side of the truck, left if you're standing on the bumper) and behind the oil filter about 3 inches or so. They're hard to see since they're both burried below alot of other crap. You can build a tree of fittings to T off of both of those sensors for a clean install. Or you can take the easy way out and buy an aftermarket oil filter cap that comes with a port for just such a thing.
