I was wondering if their is anything in the wiring of the door lock that could cause my problem or is the actuator going bad. My passenger side lock works if its not been used for a while but if you lock it then try to unlock it it wont, like it has to build up the power or is building up resistance.

Most likely, but hard to tell with the lack of info on your rig, There is a thin rubber boot that covers the lock solenoid, this breaks down over time and allows moisture to enter. The easy fix for this is to saturate the lock with WD40, similar to the fix for the door light actuator switch.
