ok i have 05 f350 6.0. i have an auto meter egt gauge and i think its not working right.. it not very responsive at idle its about 275 degrees driving its about 400. the hottest ive ever been to get it was like 650 700, and thats pulling 12,000 pounds up a hill. i put the probe in drivers side manifold in center of last port on back of block. and i have stock down pipe with 4inch duals. what do you guys think, im gonna been getting complete egr delete kit from river city diesel and a sct tuner. so i want this gauge to work proper before i do these mods

Pulling a 12,000 pound trailer, you should be able to see 1200° at full throttle. Don't run at 1200° for very long, as your pistons will melt. I can see 1200 at full throttle without a trailer, up hill.
