EGT Question

Trying to determine if i'm running too hot EGT? 2004 F-250, 4-in turbo back, Edge evolution and stock intake. Yesterday, heading to the moutains, hauling a sled deck with two snowmobiles, at moderate speeds 40-60 mph, about 70 degrees out, I was seeing anywhere from 1000 to 1200, mostly 1000to 1100 consistantly. Does this seem normal? Would a intake help lower EGT?

I believe those are normal temps - I know u don't want it to hit or go above 1400 deg. If they start to get really high just drop a gear or back out of it a little.

your are in safe operating temps but maybe its me but it seems a little high just for an evoluition with exhaust i dunno i run mine pretty hard and turned up with my sct and rarely see 1100* but youre ok

Alumm. melts at 1220 deg. so dont stay at high temps long.
