There are several wires that go through the firewall, but go nowhere. They are sticking out of each side of the firewall several inches and capped with shrink tubing. Use a couple of those and you will not have to drill through the firewall. Look up near the emergency brake pedal, on the firewall, for these.

I wish it was that easy....:innocent

I've got the Edge 'add an accessory' cable, which is a fat cable, not just a wire sender. The EGT probe attaches to it, and they are supposedly coming out with other sensors that will hook to it as well. I've heard that they are coming out with a fuel pressure sensor that you can hook to it. I've got my fingers crossed on this one... I'd also like a tranny temp sensor that isn't running through the OBDII. Not sure if that is in the works or not though.

I you haven't found them already ? From the cab, look under the dash.. at the firewall.. yul see several rubber grommets, where cables and such go through to the engine bay. Many of them have enough room, along the edges, to cut/poke holes/slits to fish wires & cables through. Gently moving things around.. you may even find an unused grommet that is for something your PSD isn't equiped with. (like around the area where clutch peddal stuff would be?)

:dunno

:coffee Under the dash there is a flap like door you can lift and run a sharp tool through or have someone look under the hood while you push then make the hole from the hood side, i ran the pyro and the wires to the fuel pressure all through the same hole then just push the flap down then there is no hole;tu Here is how the pyro is drilled
3-Gauge Install Pictures
Do not use grease on the drill after drilled i used a paper clip L shaped taped to a magnet went into the hole then taped it and did the same thing only run the tap 1/2 way or your hole may be to big check may have to tap a little more.;tu

help on tap size

Aight guys, I need some help with the tap now. I went to Home Depot today to get a 21/64 drill bit (recommended by the instructions), and an 1/8 NPT tap. I figured it would be easy. Unfortunately, I was wrong.

All of the taps there were in some kind of 'NC' sizing. Couldn't find NPT anywhere. I ended up getting a 3/8-16NC tap because it came with a 5/16 drill bit (Edge instructions say that this bit can be used as well).

Is the tap I got the same as a 1/8 NPT? If it is not, where else should I go to try and find the right tap?

Thanks for the help.

Found it!! The PO had installed a satellite radio, and this is the place that they ran the wire through. Made it real easy to find.

Now all I need to do is get the right tap, and I'll be done!

Done!! Drilling wasn't terribly difficult.... just went one size at a time. Tapping was a pain though, as I only had the tap, and not the proper tool to turn it with. I made due, and got it in good enough. The fitting had ~3/4" of threads on it. The manifold isn't near that thick, so I figured as long as it had threads all the way into the manifold, it would be just fine. Looks like it's barely in there, but I could turn it freely and it tightened down nicely with a wrench.

Now I can monitor the EGTs... time to put the truck to work!
