Ok, so I just got my 4" stainless exhaust put on and switched my egt probe over to my manifold from the down pipe. I was gettin' heavy on the happy pedal the other day and looked down and my egt was readin' 1300f. Well needless to say I backed off. Now I have been running this set up for quite some time and have always been hard on the throttle. When I had my probe in the down pipe it never showed more than 950f which I figured was close to about 1150 or so just cause it's after turbo. Now what kind of temps are you guys seenin cause I thought that the 4" exhaust brought the egt's down.

The Exhaust will bring down the temps, but your chip will cause them to rise. I don't go over 1200*F for very long, but I am running stock. Keep an eye on it until you learn what your engine does, but don't go over 1300*F.

I have watched my temps hold 1250 for the last 100K plus miles. I took my turbo off due to some very strange noises and found the exhaust veins melted down and chunks missing from heat. Be very careful at holding high temps for long extended periods of time. Dominator 66 turbo has been installed for 9 days. It is the $hit!!!!

Just my experience

That sounds like alot still but I have been running the same set up for quite some time and haven't had any probs yet plus I put in the 4" exhaust which is supposed to lower the egt's. I usally don't run it that high for too long. If I got a better flowing intake would that help my exaust temps go down with the colder air going in?
