I can not figure out what’s up, but I figured I best post it. In the last 2 weeks I have sold out of the CX-2020 EGR of the 05-07 PSD. I had 60 on hand out of 3 warehouses. There are non in Florida. The dealers down here are sucking them up and now there looking at it may end up back order until further notice here. :dunno

"THEY" whos they a single buyer or shop....so there IS
some pattern buying apparently.

sounds to me like someones replacing 'em rather than
cleaning & replacing 'em more often than necessary.

remember for a long time dealers were replacing turbos
like they were goin outta style...mostly cause they didnt
know what was wrong w/ the trucks or how to diagnose
the REAL problem

"DEALERS" I have been contacted by all the dealers local here and some from out of the county. All looking for the samething.

Last time there was a parts buy out like this the manufacture had a supply problem.

Interesting...

And i agree with bush, i know of several people saying they needed thier EGR replaced by the dealer. When in fact all it needed was to be cleaned. It was a cronic problem at my last job and all we did was clean them. We never replaced a single one.

But its quicker to replace than to clean.

I am sure this has nothing to do with a product if it actually has some kind of fualt creating a buyback or what ever is hapening. Just thought i would throw that tid bit out there.

WELL!!! I found out whats up with the EGR's. Some guys at the Dealers here got together and found a way to beat the system. (For some who dont know) dealer pay there people book rate say 100 bucks per book hour the book says it should take 2 hours to clean and service the EGR so the guys buy up the EGR's and in stead of cleaning the put in new. 20 mins. of work they still get the 200 bucks for the book hours. They clean the unit they just pulled and put it in the next truck that come in and boom another 200 bucks and the same thing just keeps going.
