Question EGR Problems?

What mods will make the truck unable to be driven on the highway? I am new to diesel trucks and the help you guys are providing is tremendous!

im little confused.. if i was to get this egr delete kit.. it would solve alot of problems that might accure? it said something about solving head gasket problems.. would i get any power increase? Im just wondering because.. one main reason i dont get a chip for my truck is that i dont want to blow head gaskets.. or have cooler problems..
