EGR delete??

got an 05 lariat 6.0L... buddy said somethin about egr delete?? this necessary, i am unfortunately still dumb to the 6.0L, been stuck in the past for a while

The EGR delete will help in a few areas. Primarily it will delete the EGR cooler which helps keep the coolant from flash boiling. Additionally it will keep the soot collection in the intake down.

I just purchased an 05 Super Duty. Is the EGR delete kit something that I should do? I have never owned a diesel before so I will apologize for the dumb questions. The truck is coming witha 4 year 48000 mile warranty from ford. I dont want to void the warranty but want to address the common problem areas now instead of needing to later. Thanks!

that seemed to be my question and never really got a straight answer... how many miles are on your 05 and how did you get ford to do a 4yr 48000 mile warranty, or is it ESP you purchased? i purchased one but its a 2yr 24k

88000 miles. ESP warranty. Lariat also

yeah i was gonna go with the 4yr but figured id keep my truck for about 2yrs and then buy a brand brand new one... mines a lariat... black with 2 tone tan. originally owned by an elderly man who pulled a 5th wheel to wyoming. bought mine last december with 75k on it....yours?

EGR delete will void the Ford warranty. Keep your truck as it is until your warranty runs out. The final decision is yours of course.
