I just got back from my local diesel store, and they gave me a price of $2,200 installed for the above system with a AFE stage 1 intake, and turbo back mbrp exhaust. I have a 6spd manual trans.

I drive my truck at 2000 rpm empty (6th gear) , and plan on pulling a 10k trailer and 8k 5th wheel. Going up long 6% grades, I will probably be in 5th gear (direct) which is about 2400 rpm at 60 mph.

My question is: Since my truck will probably never see anything above 2500 rpm, is the cost worth the hp and torque at 2000 rpm to 2500 rpm? How much more power do you have at 2000-2500 rpm with the Edge?
I have not pulled my 10K trailer yet to see if the stock power has any problem pulling the trailer up a long 6% grade in 5th gear. If I could maintain 60 mph in 5th going up the grade, I would not need to purchase the Edge. If not, then I will purchase the Edge.

save your money on the afe and do it yourself extreamlly easy install, let em do the exhaust its a pain in the *****.. go on edge's website and look at the install process it should be fairly easy to do and you could save your money on the install.... but as far as for towing it will definetly be make a big difference and your EGT's will be much lower... just my :2c good luck

Your truck should not have any problem pulling it stock. If I were you I would leave it alone until the warranty runs out since they are looking for any excuse they can use to get out of warranty work on the 6oh.

I think for about $1100.00 you can put on a 4 in exhaust with a 5 in tip and a good sat of gages for the EGT's temperature and boast gage, and keep the other $1100.00 for when the warranty is out on it.
