I got my edge before they came out with the hot juice app. so mine is 100 hp on level 4 and 115 hp on 5 and i've never had any problems when i do what it says and drive the truck for 200 miles to get the tranny used to the new hp levels......if you run them on level 3 (80 hp for me) and bump it up to 5 and go race someone then your askin for trouble....
all in all i don't see why running it on 100 hp whould be a problem and for me there is not much difference between 100 hp and 115 hp (levels 4 & 5)

mine was also "pre-hot code" so level 5 was already whoop ass level, but was definitely more than 115 hp

no need to drive 200 miles, it will start shifting correctly after only a few miles... but even if you were to bump it up and race someone you would not have problems.. your tranny will either handle the power or it wont.. once i built my tranny i could switch my programmer without incident. it might hiccup a little at first , but nothing dangerous..
again, that was with the edge , i no longer have to worry about that crappy thing anyway

i agree but the more you drive it on a certain level the more you tranny will adapt to the shifting....if you had your tranny built then you are a step ahead of me....that is on the list for future upgades and pretty close to the top...:thumbs

yes i bought my truck used, and the previous owner had some sort of programmer on there, not sure what... anyway the tranny would hold the stock power, but i think he ****ed it up cause as soon as i put the edge on and turned it up, the tranny was slipping really bad... i thought it was the converter so 2000 dollars later i pull out of the shop only to find out it was the tranny that was TOASTED. the tranny shop said they couldnt believe the carnage... so another 3200 later i am ready for anything i can throw at it i hope.. or we will just find the next weakest link in the driveline

well hopefully it will be money well spent....i really want to upgrade mine but like you mentioned i couldn't think of plenty of things that i NEED for 5200 dollars......but i really WANT a tranny that can handle some real power....anyway good luck with everything:thumbs
