EBV closing under part throttle

Sounds to me like it is working as designed. It will open up when you hit the gas hard but partially close under light pedal application. As long as it quits doing it once the engine is up to operating temp then it is operating normally. What is causing it to close? "cold morning today"

It was 36* F. When I left for work. 17 miles later it was still coming on at a steady speed of 40 mph I like the braking effect, but not while I'm tring to go.

If I recall correctly it operates by ambient air temp and by oil temp. Does it ever quit closing?

I've had the truck for about 6 months and it never did this before. It was fine on the way home(air temp mid 60's). I unplugged it after that, pending time to work on it. I driven my dads 97 and as soon as you touch the pedal on the ebv opens and you go on your way. This ones take more pedal travel to get the ebv to open.

Then it is probably a clogged tube.
