Well...... Since the system does not operate when the ambient temp is above 40* I doubt that yours has been used in quite a while. Working on that assumption, I'd guess that your leakage has nothing to do with the solenoid being plugged in or not. When was the last time that your startup temp was below 40*? Could it be that the leakage happened when the EBV last operated and has not been leaking since then? I am considering that maybe the piston leaks when there is pressure on it (when the valve is commanded closed) and not leaking when the oil is just draining back to the crankcase.

It hasnt been 40 here in at least 4 months if not 5. It was unplugged since early last fall before it ever reached those temps so hasnt been actuated in well over a year. Oh well, at least it isnt leaking. Im going to leave well enough alone for now. We'll see what happens this fall.
