Help Needed early 99 speedo quit + abs came on @ same time

I have a 99 350, 6 speed 4x4. Speedometer quit and abs light came on at same time. Chased wiring, could find no problem. It appears the two are related but I am missing it. Also a few times in the rain it started to work right again, but when dryed out it all qiuts again..... Any Ideas welcome.....

My guess would be the speed sensor in the rear end.

Sounds like the Vehicle Speed Sensor in the rear differential. It's an easy inexpensive fix. A new sensor should cost about $15 and it takes only 5 to 10 minutes to change.
