This being my fist post i would like to thank you all for the info in the post. It has helped me keep my obs (last of the real trucks) on the road/offroad. so today after playing in the mud the od light started blinking and would not shift into od, made home checked dtc ,showed p1728 knew it was coming,from reading post. So tranny change time.

If you're going to keep the truck for awhile, you may want to look into a tranny from Brian's Truck Shop (BTS). They seem pricey, but not after hearing from all the folks that have one (and the folks that didn't and wished they would have). Cheers!

thanks, i do plan to keep it, at this time i may have to go with used to get back on the road. Then i can fix it right
