Feel free to make fun of me if you want... A friend of mine (really) told me about "throttle body spacers" and how they are supposed to help out hp and save fuel. I'm leaning towards not believing him but thought I would ask. I looked them up and they look realitvely simplistic to do what they say. SO do they work? tate:dunno

Maybe i'm confused as far as terminolgy... I did a search for them and Airaid sells them but I'm not sure about for my year truck. I was on another site (diesel site ) and he had a whole install procedure with pictures. I'm reletively inexperienced so I'm only curious....Thanks Tate

I too have seen some performance parts sites selling throttle body spacers for diesels and have been tempted to buy. "Anything that will help you get more horsepower and gas mileage", why not? I understand that a throttle body spacer is supposed to give the air coming into the engine more velocity on gas engines. On diesel engines, isn't that one of the purposes of the turbo? So I guess it would be pointless to put a throttle body spacer on a diesel. Just my :2c worth I guess.
