I have been noticing a hoping feeling when I get around 40-45 mph. You can see the front end hoping and if you turn around while driving you can sort of see it at the tail gate. I have put new tires on (as it did it as well with the old ones) and it still does it. Truck has been alligned and tires balanced. It seems I can feel it more when accelerating. I actually saw a Ford truck going down the interstate about a year ago doing the same thing. Im wondering if it could be the carrier bearing? Has anyone experienced or heard of this problem? Thanks in advance

You maybe talkin about "death wobble"?? The front end shakes so much that it wont steer anymore. You have to slow down to gain control. I notice you have 8in lift on yer truck, tends to happen with trucks with lifts and larger tires if you got components goin bad. My big 4x4 van did that before I replaced stabilizer bushings. I got 6in lift on it. Very scary feeling haha

What speed does it do it at. There is a TB on harmonic vibs at 45 or so mph. They have a thing that hangs on the rear frame rail that is supposed to fix that. A friend had it done and its not a total cure.

No this is not a wobble. I have had lifted trucks all my life and I know what ur talkin about . This is much different. If ur riding in the driver seat its like a up and down hop not a side to side like tires would do. Its like the driver seat is in the middle and the front and rear are hopping. hard to descibe. I say 40-45 but mt speedo is off probably 50 mph. Havent checked yet but thinkin carrier bearing. F100, I dont know all the lingo w/ abbreviations so..... Harmonic vibe? Was wondering if ladder bars would take care of it as well. I just got off a trip 675 miles round trip. Had an idea half way threw, so pulled over at a Home Depot. Put 300lbs of quick crete in the bed at tailgate and seemed to ride much better but could still feel it a little at that speed when accelerating.

hmm never heard of a "hopping" prob. Sounds fun! not! Maybe drive shafts bent slightly? Not balanced?

Ford put this thing on my truck when it had about 10,000 miles on it. It was free if you were under your 36/36. The tech who put it on was mad because he broke 2 or 3 $5.00 drill bits putting it on.
It may of helped a little.
