Mike, if your in the biz or have an inside line, just spill it. I'm just trying to put thoughts together. From the looks of the thread you have a card you won't show.

I think he is in the biz. But I don't think he'll show his Hold card. :lmao :lmao :lmao

There are many factors causing price increases from pumping oil out of the ground to when fuel is pumped into our vehicles. The main cause is GREED.
The Arabs, big oil, speculators, our Government, all are milking the public. Anyone that says that any of the above has clean hands is living in a fairy tale.

If it's on the ballot this nov I'll be voting for offshore drilling. I would like to see clauses that require the oil to be kept for US consumption.

Alaskan oil was designated for US consumption..
untill Amoco got bought up by BP...

and the other thing is..
not all crudes are suitable stocks for fuel. They might find that it's so high in paraffin that you can only use it to produce waxes & plastics. No one has come out and said this, but that could be the reason they're not pumping from leases they already have. There is crude down there, but it's junk.

It's a crapshoot.

The Illuminati... :stir
heard it on the radio Friday..
"...experts at Morgan Stanley predict crude to be $200. / barrel by December..."
Translation - "We've got a lot of people buying futures, so we need to make sure the price runs up sufficiently for us to make OUR cut & brokerage fees by the end of the year (because we're taking a beating elsewhere in the market)..." :watchout

It is my firm belief that there are political forces at work who are determined to keep the American public paying high fuel prices. Their objective is to ban RVs, SUVs, big diesel pickups, and other "gas guzzlers". They will not be satisfied until everyone is driving a Smart Car, a Prius, riding a bicycle, or walking everywhere. On other forums, I am taken to task for my choice of vehicle. I am chided to use mass transit.

why do you think [they're] always bustin' on Bush & Cheney for being "in the pocket of big oil?"
"Big Oil" wants to sell product, plain & simple. Oil companies are making record profits because fuel prices are at record levels, and we keep buying it rather then seek out alternatives; Because face it, who says "alternative energy" is going to be any cheaper? The world runs on crude oil because it's the most COST EFFECTIVE. [They] want fuel so expensive it FORCES people to seek alternative energy.. in other words, they want the playing field leveled (actually tipped in favor of) "passive" solar and wind energy. Coal, hydroelectric and tidal are OUT because they are "active." You have to build "unsightly" power houses, piers, jettys and dams in places you might want to "recreate." Solar and wind farms you can hide out in the desert where you don't look at them all the time.

why do you think the guy in California had to cut the trees shading his neighbors solar panels?
