Been thinking about the DPF delete kits. Has anyone done this, if so, was it worth it. Have been doing alot of reading and it seems the DPF is what is holding back the true potential of the diesel systems?

Do it! You'll love your truck even more! I have absolutely ZERO regrets on deleting my DPF and DOC.

I wish it was that easy. We have bi-annual inspections in California. I do not know if El Dorado Hills has them or not. Check to make SURE you don't have inspections. We have them in Mendocino county, which shocked me! I just looked at a map and you appear to live in Sacramento county, so you are probably screwed.

Thanks for the info.. Fine69, where did you pick up your kit, I was looking at a company called "gearboxz". They seem to be pretty squared away in regards to the systems they sell.

are the inspections just visual? I know some one that just bought a used dpf and hollowed it out and reinstalled easily passes visual test.

Yes the inspections are mostly visual, but they plug in a scanner to check if the engine computer is reporting any problems.
