Ok this is driving me nuts:rant :rant

Need some advise on removing a stock DP from a 97 PSD IDI. Need any help. Friend asked me if I wouldn't mind replacing his DP with an after market to help him save some money. Be the friend that I am the love that I have for working on PSD and installing new parts this DP removal is kicking my :bootyshak

But I will not give up it is almost out but think I am going to have to make one more cut on the DP to get it out the bottom. Or maybe the top. Thanks guys for the help.

Guess I am going to have to get some longer Sawzall blades. Tryed to cut the cobra head off but blades weren't long enough. Guess I'll have to stop on the way home tomorrow.

i used a torch, but i would not recommend it if you arent handy with one, because as you could imagine things can go south real quick.
i cut right through mine like butter, the only evidence is the discolored heat shield.
keep a healthy amount of water handy, as well as a squirting device. thats how i kept everything else cool while blasting out the pipe.

like everyone else says : cut the top section off that hooks to the turbo and pull it out the bottom. Most of the new DPs are 2 peice so installation is a snap

Tried to post this the other night. Took ya'lls advise cut the end off the DP and it fell right out the bottom. Finished it in no time after that. My buddy loves his truck now. Says that he is having a hard time keeping his foot out of the go pedal now because he loves to hear the turbo now. Before he could never hear it. Thanks for all the help.
