The "hush mat" option is well worth the time it takes to get the interior panels pulled off and get the mat all layed out and wrinkle free.

Ok so I went and got the 3/8 backer rod and I started looking and my seal is deffinatly different, the inside diameter in mine is almost an inch, It would be like throwing a hotdog down a hallway.. So Im going to take it back and try and get somthing like 1/2 to 5/8 if possible to do mine, any opinions if this would be to much for the OBS?

i just completed one door. i wanted to try out just one, before i continued on.

i went with a 3/8's OD vinyl poly tubing, i did have to use a snake, but no soap.

if i went with the 7/16's OD, it would have called for some slippery stuff.

the door is not too difficult to close, but does require alittle more effort.

off to Lowe's again to buy some more tubing. only 2.81 for 13ft. for each rear door.

the driver's door may take an extra foot.

i will repost after a trip down the road and back on the road noise.

just finished the other 3 doors and could really tell a diff. i understand that

there is still gonna be some noise, but the interior just had a tighter feel to it.

it was a good MOD to do, and i even got my 9yo son and 7yo daughter to

join in and give me a hand. they had this puzzled look like, "what are doin

this for daddy, is it for your truck?"

:thumbs bringin' up little power strokers :sweet
