Sometimes a younger dog can help an older dog to live longer. Makes the older dog more active, and wanting to play more. MC our 14 year old Whippet adores his 8 month old son, Marco. MC plays like a nut with him. Keith

Unfortunantly the old dog is blind and deaf and never sees the pups sneek attacks. She just tackles him and he does nothing to retaliate. His hind quarters don't work well so he can't run either.

Mike,

Any coincedence that you live in the least populated state?!!!;)

Considering that I spent 20 years in the most populated state in the Union..... nope, not really a coincidence.

Sorry to hear that it had to be done. I know how hard it is to do You should know that he is in a better place, and he can run, see, and hear. He will always be close in spirit. :( Keith

Lance,

Sorry to hear that. I know it's gut-wrenching, but it's all for a good reason.

Lance-

I got through the first three pages ok, now I am teary eyed after reading your last post. It only gets harder. I know your pain. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Be greatful and thankful that you gave him the life you did and for the joy he brought you. Its good you have pup there to ease your pain.

God blessed man when he gave us dogs. Mark is right on- most dogs I have met have more heart and soul than most people i interact with.

Keeping you and your family in my thoughts.
