sounds like a SLAP lawsuit filed by someone with too much money...
Uhhhh.... you don't go to jail for lawsuits last I checked. He is going down for KIDNAPPING, ILLEGAL DETENTION, and CONSPIRACY because he "arrested" someone illegally and "extradited" him to the US without extradition hearings, etc. No one operates above the law.

Sounds to me like a warrant was issued for his arrest in Mexico, and he figured that the problem was solved by just not ever going back to Mexico. He forgot that US and Mexican authorities typically work together, and a warrant in Mexico means you'll be arrested in the US.

His arrogance and lack of intelligence finally caught up with him. The worst part about it is that after committing this crime, he decided not to LAY LOW, for instance. Nope, he decided to have his own reality TV show so everyone knew where he was at any given time.

I hope to christ that he doesn't go to Mexican prison, but I'm thinking a little jail time might be good for him up here in the US.

let's hope they stick him in the mexican jail a friend of mine spent 2 years in. it was not a nice place. My friend escaped and made it back to TX or he would likely have died there.

OK, what am I missing here then, Dog (and Im not a Dog fan, I have never seen the show:confused: ) goes to Mexico to get a serial rapist that skipped our country only to lay low in Mexico. Why hadnt Mexico sent Andrew Luster back here to stand trial? And what law did Chapman break in Mexico?

Doesnt really sound to me like the Mexican authorities work with US autorities to me.:dunno

he was a pilot for a small time electronics smuggling ring. tvs, vcrs and things like that. made many, many successful runs and then one night, the landing area lit up as he stepped out of the plane and there were a couple hundred federalis.

Exactly. Excpet for the fact that Dog is not an officer of the law, and had no legal right to arrest anyone in Mexico. Therefore, taking him against his will equals KIDNAPPING.

Why hadnt Mexico sent Andrew Luster back here to stand trial?
A bunch of reasons. Luster had money, Mexico is horribly corrupt, so he may have paid off the Mex authorities to leave him alone. The mexican authorities may not have known where he was, or may not have even been looking for him. It is all conjecture, though.
And what law did Chapman break in Mexico?
Among other things, kidnapping, conspiracy to kidnap (since he did this with other men) and illegal extradition without a hearing, etc.

Well, they try to put on a show, anyway. Long story short, Dog broke the law, and he knew it when he did so. Whether he did it to aprehend a rapist or not.....

Luster isnt a Mexican citizen, I see where no laws were broken that Mexico should be enforcing.

I dont want to get overly political here but............ when Mexico comes and gets thier 10's of thousands of illegal aliens out of OUR jails, and off OUR streets, we will gladly give the DOG back to them to do with what they wish. :D

Bounty hunting is considered illegal in Mexico, that I understand, so is exceeding the speed limit. Whopeedoo! No crime was commited against a Mexican citizen and I cannot believe that US authorities are even cooperating with Mexican officials. If this isnt political grandstanding by the Mexican government then I dont know what is.

How much time and money should we the taxpayers be asked to spend to do exactly WHAT for Mexico?

well, it's cheaper to send his sorry butt to a mexican jail than put him in one of our cable TV and internet equipped air conditioned cells.
