Ok, now what?:D

Components include chassis brake lines (brake and fuel bundle), rear brake lines, rear park brake cables and extensions, and brake friction material for improved wear.

It's a good thing they're putting that on.:roflmao

i guess i have been running around with out brakes and fuel lines :D :D
can i order one with out the above option :roflmao :roflmao :roflmao

oh and i heard the 3500 frame will be built by frieghtliner, so it might be a serious 350/450 challenge, but only if it has brake lines :D

"The 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 Chassis Cab is the first Ram chassis with industry-standard 34-inch frame rail spacing, as well as unique-to-the-segment flat, "clean" frame rails. Another segment exclusive, all chassis components are below the frame surface, providing versatility for virtually any upfit application."
hasnt the 450/550 been doing this for ........about 6 years

After reading the article, my question about the front axle is answered (It's a solid axle).

Something else was interesting: "In developing the all-new 2007 Dodge Ram Chassis Cab, Dodge gathered considerable input from upfitters, second-stage manufacturers and end-users." I guess Dodge forgot how to build a truck larger than a pickup after they stopped making their D500/D600 and up models years ago.

Also: "All Dodge Ram 3500 Chassis Cab models are "Job-rated" - designed, engineered, tested and built to meet rigid standards of commercial truck buyers." All trucks should be "job-rated" or else they shouldn't be on the road.

You'll also note that this truck is different from the standard Dodge Ram 3500. Why aren't they giving it a different designation (like 4500)? I would think it's more a 4500 than a 3500. Or is Dodge prohibited from having a truck badged as a 4500, 5500, or higher?

Regarding the HEMI engines: All engines are "hemis" with their hemispherical designs. So that means that Ford and Chevy also are powered by HEMIS!!

Oh, the genius of advertising!!!!

want a good laugh
go to the ford truck commerical site and build a dually tow boss crew cab
then do the comparision box to see cheby and gmc and dodge comparative models.
when you select the gm products it gives you nice dually to match numbers with.
if you select dodge........
it gets stuck at Model.....

so now we know they have no comparsion to the Ford :hail :hail

I went to the website: www.askdrz.com and attempted to ask a question about the new Dodge D3500 Chassis Cab. I was going to ask them why didn't they badge it as a 4500, but it wouldn't let me submit the question even though I completed every item as required. If anyone else can get through on the site and ask the question, I'd like to see what their answer would be. I might go to the Dodge website and look for contact information. Their answer should be interesting. That also reminds me of what GM did recently before they introduced the 4500/5500 series: they had the 3500HD, which was actually a 4500 badged as a 3500. I guess it's a "marketing thing", but who knows? Just my 2 cents worth.

Tonight I checked my e-mail at home and saw four or five automated responses from the Dr Z website, plus an actual reply that they would review my question and give me an answer.
