no they do not.

If the interior stinks and you've adequately aired the truck out then visit your local rental store and rent an ozone generator, stick it in the truck and let it run overnight with the doors & windows closed.

There is a possibility that the condensate drain is plugged so there is fungus growing in the air box. which if it accumulates will drip down into the passenger's floor pan.

condensation drain huh, if that were plugged would that produce a seemingly real humid and damp air out the vents and defroster once in a while. How would you go about unclogging it?

Remove the blower fan after disconnecting both negative battery terminals. There are four screws. Once out you can see a grate toward the driver's side inside there. It covers the evaporator core. You probably will see layers of dirt, dust, mildew, hair and brown goo covering the grate. Water blast it with a garden hose until clean, hand pick out any brown goo especially at the bottom of the grate. If you have a Miracle Grow garden hose spray container, clean it out good then add some bleach and spray the grate again. Then spray with Lysol. Put your hand in there to make sure you've removed any residual brown goo. Let it air dry then re-assemble. There is a rubber tube that's connected to the blower fan that'll need to be re-attached. You won't see it until you remove the blower fan. I had to remove both nuts on the wiper tank and move it out of the way to get out the blower fan.

Another option is to spray Lysol into the windshield grates (cowel) by the wipers when you have the FAN on MAX COLD then switch to FAN MAX HOT. Then switch to AC COLD and spray cowel again. Then switch to AC HOT and spray cowel again. Then switch to AC MAX COLD and spray upward to the right of the bottom of the glove box. This is where the re-circulate intake is. Then turn to AC MAX HOT and repeat spraying the the intake then switch to AC MAX COLD.

Doing what I said in both paragraphs will solve your problem.

Since the drain is on the side opposite the fan motor adding extra water may allow it to flush the drain or it may overflow into the cabin air intake in the passenger's floorboard. The easiest way I've found to clean one out is to stick a long screwdriver up the drain tube from the bottom. If this does not work then you're in for some disassembly.

When the condensate drain is plugged you do get more humid air out of the ducts but since it's cooler you don't notice it unless you turn the a/c off when you're going down the road. The air is cooled enough that it will not hold any more water so it falls out of the air resulting in the condensate. As long as the air is cool it will not hold any more water so the humidity is not notably changed from standard a/c operation. The water still comes out as the air passes across the evaporator and then drains into the passenger's floorboard.

When mine smelled musty it was moldy dirt in the AC evaporator. Pull the blower as hheynow said and look in to the right. Should NOT look like this:

Mine has a drain of sorts below where the evaporator meets the firewall. Not really a tube so much, but I seem to remember something covering it. Will look later
